The best air cooler for the home, i.e. Crompton Ozone, has fantastic build quality. Made of ABS thermoplastic, it weighs 15 kg. It has a big fan and very thick honeycomb pads on three sides. Thin honeycomb pads will last 1 season at maximum. Thick honeycomb pads retain water for a long which implies longer cooling.
It comes with 4-way air deflection, but only vertical louvres are automatic. Horizontal louvres are to be adjusted manually. There is no lever to control the louvres, making it difficult to adjust them.
On top of Crompton Ozone is an ice chamber. The water level indicator is at the bottom. The Crompton 88L air cooler model is very sturdy. Sturdiness increases with its castor wheels. Its front castor wheels have a lock. Sadly, there is no lock given on the back castor wheels. Crompton Ozone comes with four castor wheels rather than 5. Two knob controls are for ‘fan speed’ and ‘Swing & Pump control’.

Autofill Technology

- The auto-fill hole is relatively small. But it is okay since the cooler will not consume all the water at once. It’ll keep filling slowly.
- Crompton Ozone lacks the auto drain, but Crompton Royal has it. However, Crompton Ozone has a drain outlet which works well.
