How to Share Your Contact Details on WhatsApp QR Code feature
Step 1 – To share your QR code, open the WhatsApp application on your device and tap on the New Chat option present in the bottom right corner.
Step 2 – A new window will appear with an option of New Contact and a QR code icon beside it.
Step 3 – Click on the QR code option to share or scan a QR.
Step 4 – You can share this QR with someone or instantly let them scan it to add you as a contact.
Please note that your QR is only visible to you, but anyone with your QR can add you as a contact and text you. If you want to reset your WhatsApp QR Code Feature, click on the three dots in the top right corner and hit the reset button. A popup will appear saying your old QR code will no longer be in action. Click on the reset button, and you’re done.
How to Add Someone on WhatsApp Using a QR Code
Adding someone on WhatsApp is similar to sharing your contact details. To do so, launch the WhatsApp application on your device and tap on the New Chat option present in the bottom right corner. Now click on the QR code icon placed beside the New Contact option. You will be redirected to the scanner, where you can directly scan someone’s QR or scan it from the gallery.
