Telegram Launched its New Compelled Feature With a Turn

On Monday, Telegram officially announced the launching of its new stories feature for everyone. Previously, this feature was available to all premium users. This announcement was made by them on 14 August, celebrating Telegram’s 10th Birthday.  This feature may seem similar to Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, and other platforms, but this feature is released with a new twist. Now, the twist of this newly launched compelled feature is that you can edit your stories after posting them live. 

Telegram’s CEO Pavel Durov said, “For years, our users have been asking us to implement Stories in Telegram. More than half of all feature requests that we receive are related to Stories,”

Let’s talk about this twist in detail. So, we all have struggled with posting stories with errors on various platforms at least once in our lifetime and wish that it could be fixed somehow. But Meta hasn’t thought of that yet; on the other hand, It has already launched this feature where you can edit your posted stories.

Telegram Mentioned in one of its Blog Posts, “For the first time in the history of social media, you can update any element of your story at any time – changing its visibility, caption, on-screen text, stickers, or anything else – without having to delete and repost it from scratch”. 

In addition to being able to post and edit stories after posting, users also have full control over their stories, making their stories private, choosing who can watch their stories, and even hiding their stories. Another great addition to this is that the user can set the time for the expiry of their stories. You can choose from 6, 12, 24, or 48 hours story visibility.

It is the fourth most used app after WhatsApp, WeChat, and Facebook Messenger, with 700 million monthly active users in 2023, which is estimated to rise to 1 Billion by 2024 positively.
