Our True-View of the Samsung Crystal Neo Review is unique as we purchased this TV to review it. We bought Samsung Crystal Pro Neo to make Samsung Crystal Neo Review. We tested it for 100 hours and made Samsung Crystal Neo Review.

1. LOOKS –

Samsung Crystal Neo AUE65 has a plastic body and plastic stands for the table mount. Its slim bezels look good. Connectivity options are given on one side of the back with no changes. Samsung Crystal Neo AUE65 is good for gamers.

2. PANEL – Samsung Crystal Neo vs Pro

Samsung Crystal Neo AUE65 has VA but this VA panel is absolutely changed from the VA panel of Samsung’s 2021 model. It is an 8-bit FRC VA panel which is good. It supports HDR10, HLG, and HDR10+. Its brightness is approx 325-330 nits (same as Crystal Pro). It is a super bright panel like before. But now this panel has HDR10+ support. More brightness in this range doesn’t matter.

Cheaper brands provide more brightness but that doesn’t make any difference. The main thing is HDR performance. Its high dynamic range is superb. HDR10+ has improved its high dynamic range at multiple levels.

The performance of this panel is far better. The contrast ratio is 4000:1 which means you get deep blacks. Its blacks are amazing. We tested its HDR10+ performance on Amazon Prime and it was fantastic. We couldn’t believe it would perform this well. We were expecting there will be some issues but to our surprise, it was amazing. It is a bright panel. In fact, we had to lower the brightness so that all details could be easily seen.

3. DOLBY VISION CONTENT –

Despite its low brightness, it is a bright panel. The quality of Samsung’s backlight LED is superb. We tested Dolby vision content despite the fact that it doesn’t support Dolby Vision. Surprisingly, its HDR performance is amazing. You can’t get Dolby Vision support externally no matter what you do. It is a panel feature. No Samsung panel supports Dolby Vision. But you won’t face any issues as Dolby Vision is a format of HDR. Dolby Vision shows more details.

4. COLOR PROFILE –

The color profile is toward natural color profile but they are not absolutely natural. Greens are a little over-saturated. They didn’t look bad. Rather, they look punchy. The screen looks bright and that is why the colors look good.

5. OS – Samsung Crystal 4K Pro

It doesn’t have android OS. Every Samsung TV comes with the Tizen OS out of the box. Tizen OS has fewer pre-downloaded apps. It has Samsung TV+ which shows free content (some movies, and channels). With Wifi, you can watch it for free.

6. PROS & CONS OF THE PANEL –

It is a light panel and the TV doesn’t hang, however, we don’t believe it. It doesn’t have many apps. You can use Amazon Firestick 4K to get a similar OS to Android OS. You can download the apps you don’t get. If you like Tizen OS then it is good. If you don’t like it then you can change it. OS can be changed but not the panel.

7. PICTURE QUALITY –

It has good picture quality. Tizen OS supports Bixby, Alexa, and Google Assistant (choose any as a primary assistant). Remote control has a minimalistic design with Netflix & Prime Video hotkeys. Its upscaling of HD (720p) content via USB is good. Upscaling of FHD (1080p) content via USB is good. Upscaling of 4K content via USB is also really good. The upscaling of SD and HD channels are fine. The content was neither too good nor too bad. But the upscaling of HD channels was good. We checked it with an HD set-top box.

8. WITH PC –

You can use it as a PCB but with 50-60 Hz, it will perform average. But you can use it as a PC by connecting it to your PC.

9. FILMMAKER MODE –

We tested Samsung’s highly publicized mode the filmmaker mode. Filmmaker mode tries to show content as Dolby Vision but it is not exactly Dolby Vision. It is neither Dolby Vision nor HDR content. It is only a color adjustment. It is a picture mode and you will enjoy a movie in it.

10. MOTION BLUR –

It doesn’t have MEMC support and we saw motion blur in fast action scenes. It is understandable as all TVs of this range have motion blur. No budget TVs have MEMC. Some brands give software-based MEMC which is useless. You should expect a certain amount of motion blur which is okay.

11. VIEWING ANGLES – Samsung Crystal Neo vs Pro

Viewing angles of the previous year’s model were poor. They showed 20%-30% brightness and color loss. But this year it changed dramatically. Viewing angles this year is really good. They are not as good as an IPS panel but they show a max of 15%-20% color loss on the extreme sides. No color and brightness are there at 45-60 degree angles. Despite a VA panel, it shows amazing colors.

12. AUDIO QUALITY –

In a Samsung Crystal Neo Review, we found that its audio quality is average. It comes with 20W down-firing speakers with Dolby Digital+ support. The Q Symphony feature means that sound will come from both soundbar and speakers if you attach Samsung’s Q series soundbar with it.

We don’t understand the significance of this feature along with such an expensive soundbar. You must not fall for it. You should consider a TV for its good picture quality as the sound can be enhanced with a soundbar too. The speakers are thus average. They are okay for a small room at a volume of 80-90. However, a soundbar is a must for a cinematic experience.

The TV directly decodes Dolby Atmos. Samsung has not declared it but you get Dolby Atmos Badging when you attach the Dolby Atmos soundbar. It is the best part if you have HDMI 2.1 eARC port.

13. VERDICT – Best TV under 40000

It has a bright panel. Don’t go on numbers rather focus on the quality of Backlight LED which is superb. It is a super bright panel that has improved from previous models. Now it supports HDR10+ which means the colors are freshly tuned and optimized. This is why it is an amazing panel as compared to other TVs of the same budget.

Its 43-inch size costs Rs 33000 and the 55-inch costs Rs 53,000. These are amazing prices for such fantastic HDR performance. The VA panel shows deep blacks. Despite being a VA panel, the viewing angles were good. The ALLM mode is good for gamers. Samsung claims a 10ms response time with a gaming console.

14. CONS –

Its audio quality is average. It doesn’t support Dolby Vision. Tizen OS lags a bit. You will see a certain amount of motion blur. However, these cons can be neglected considering it has amazing picture quality.
