Recently, Meta opened up to Engadget, stating that they are testing the new update of Instagram, where the length of the reels will increase just like TikTok and YouTube. Currently, the time given for one reel is between 15 and 90 seconds, which is not enough for many videos appearing on Instagram feed.
We all have faced how Instagram creators hang us for part 2 of their videos because of the time crunch and it can be very annoying to wait for the content that interests you.
Now we can expect a solution for the same as they stated that the speculation on increasing the time limit of a reel is under testing and might make its way to all the creators, but the time of release was not mentioned.
If this feature is introduced by the meta-owned Instagram, then it will be easy to showcase detailed tutorials, motivational videos, and entertaining videos. The reel creators will have more time on their hands to portray the storyline better.
Speculations About Instagram’s Latest Upgrade
Alessandro Paluzzi, who is a mobile developer and an engineer, leaked on X that Instagram will change the length of the Reels from 90 seconds to 10 minutes.
Instagram also introduced this amazing tool, which is being tested on public accounts, said the CEO Adam Mosseri, where users can share the comments on their posts or reels directly on their stories.
The procedure to do so will also be effortless, you just need to swipe on the comment and click on the ‘Add to Story’ option, and it will be displayed on your story with your original reel or post.
Not to mention that this feature is not open for the users yet.
Further, let’s wait for Instagram to launch this new feature and see how it works. For such interesting updates, keep yourself hooked to our Tech Updates. Also, if you have any queries or suggestions feel free to drop them in the comment section below.
