The following best AC under 30000 is Voltas 1.4 ton 3 star AC. Voltas AC net capacity is low- 1.3 tons, but the AC is good. It has 3.18 ISEER, variable speed convertible inverter compressor- 20% to 120%. 20% is too low, but it is good that Voltas is experimenting. You get 100% copper condenser coils with anti-corrosive coating. There is an anti-dust filter with antimicrobial protection.
4-way air swing is a rare feature. Usually, you get a 2-way swing. Voltas’ 4-way Swing will provide even cooling throughout your room. The self-diagnosis feature will detect the error and display a code on display. This will lead to faster resolutions. You get stabilizer-free operation- 110V-285V. But we still recommend you buy a good stabilizer. There is no warranty on PCB. You get a hidden display.
Noise levels of indoor units are 46 dB. It has one year comprehensive and ten years warranty on the compressor. It costs ₹ 30,000.

- Only a more immense AC will give good cooling in peak summer.
- Brands promise good cooling up to 52°C, but that’s wrong.
- Its indoor and outdoor units are small. They won’t perform well in peak summer.
Next in the list of best AC under 30000 is Godrej 1.5 ton 3 star AC. Godrej AC has a 1.42-ton actual cooling capacity. It has 3.95 ISEER, an inverter compressor and 5-in-1 convertible modes- 40% to 110%. You get 100% copper condenser coils. When you press the ‘I-sense technology’ button, the remote’s sensors will automatically adjust the temperature as per the temperature outside your room. The thermostat is present in the indoor unit, and the indoor unit itself does this work.
You get Blue Fins Anti-Corrosive coating. All ACs have a copper condenser. Air is polluted, and the sediment and salt in the air damage the condenser and fins. This leads to leakages and cracks. A unique chemical coating delays this process.
Condensers will get damaged fast, mainly if you live in coastal areas or near drains. But it can be delayed with a suitable chemical coating like the ‘Blue Fins Anti-Corrosive coating’. The Antimicrobial Self-clean is merely a self-cleaning mechanism. We couldn’t check whether it was antimicrobial or not. But self-technology cleans vapours and dirt from the filter.

- We didn’t like its cooling. It did cool the room but not satisfactorily.
- Other ACs were better as their outdoor units were bigger. Its outdoor unit is smaller than both Premia as well as Budget brands. Due to this, the size of condenser coils decreases.
- Its indoor unit is small, which implies smaller blower and evaporator coils. This decreases cooling, airflow and air throw.
The best AC under 30000 is Whirlpool 1.5-ton 3 star AC. The Whirlpool Magicool 1.5 ton, i.e. 1.39 ton 3-star AC, has 3.9 ISEER, variable speed intellisense inverter compressor and 4-in-1 convertible modes- 0.9 to 1.5 ton. When you press the ‘6th Sense Intellicool technology’ button on the remote control, AC will automatically adjust the temperature as per the temperature outside your room. These six sensors work together to accomplish this.
You get 100% copper condenser coils and Self Clean technology. After turning your AC off, the compressor will stop working, but not the indoor unit. Self-clean technology works for 1-2 minutes to clean vapours on the filter. It comes with BLDC fans, an HD filter and stabilizer-free operation. But it would be best if you used a unique stabilizer.
Noise levels of indoor units are 34 dB. It has one year comprehensive and five years warranty on the compressor. It costs ₹ 32,000.
Our experience with Whirlpool’s installation team was horrible. We had to return them three times. At 4th time they didn’t have the proper tools. They charged us extra for nitrogen flushing. They didn’t have a vacuum pump. Make sure you vacuum the outdoor pipe for the best cooling.
Whirlpool isn’t manufacturing its ACs. Instead, it is getting them made from somewhere else. Therefore, we are not sure of their spare part support.
Therefore, we highly do not recommend you buy it. Whirlpool 1.5-ton 3-star AC stands out on our list of The best AC under 30000.
