Apple is all set to start the testing for the new M3 Max chip, which has a cutting-edge 16-core CPU and a potent 40-core GPU. It is anticipated to be used in the new Mac Pro models, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The next-generation M3 Max chip will replace the M2, and it is said to have significantly improved performance and efficiency compared to its predecessor.
Features of the M3 Max Chip
The Max 3 chip is expected to comprise 12 high-performance cores and four energy-efficient cores, which are significantly better compared to its current predecessor, the M2 MAX chip. It is currently being tested and has an impressive 48 GB of memory. However, given that Apple’s current Macbook Pro supports up to an astounding 96 GB, it is reasonable to expect that it will have more memory options.
Additionally, It is expected to leverage a 3nm (nanometer) process, which is claimed to increase performance and efficiency, overpowering the M2 Max chip. The new chip is currently being tested in an unreleased, high-end MacBook Pro with the codename “J514”.
What’s in the Future for us?
